LOGISTICS & CONTRACT MANAGER

Are you a logistics professional ready to take the lead? At Maejor Nuts, you’ll build our logistics department from the ground up. You’ll create structure, refine processes, and establish a strong foundation for the future. In a nutshell: you’ll shape our logistics and fuel future growth.

Location: Rotterdam
Working hours: 40 hours a week (32 hours is negotiable)
Education level: A higher vocational or professional education equivalent to HBO/ MBO4 level.
Salary: €3.000 – €4.000 per month (based on 40 hours), depending on your experience

Maejor Nuts is a Rotterdam-based trading company specializing in nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. From our office right by the Erasmus Bridge, we connect suppliers and customers worldwide with reliability and speed. No slick talk or lengthy procedures; just direct communication, an informal atmosphere, and plenty of responsibility. With our tight-knit team and a no-nonsense attitude, we get things done.

Your role in keeping things moving
You will keep our supply chain running smoothly and constantly look for ways to improve it. You stay on top of things, think ahead, and keep your cool even when things get nuts. You’ll coordinate sea and road transport, ensure all documentation is in order, and solve problems on the spot. From delays to last-minute changes, you see every challenge as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. Additionally, you will:

Streamline processes;
Negotiate competitive rates with carriers;
Monitor our inventory;
Maintain direct contact with customers and suppliers through clear and professional communication.

As you crack the toughest logistics challenges, you’ll also be building a department that’s ready to grow. You’ll set up your own team, shaping our logistics operations from the ground up, ensuring our foundation is as solid as the iconic bridge that defines Rotterdam’s skyline.

What you’ll bring to the table
You’re a go-getter who takes ownership and doesn’t easily get thrown off course. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day is different. Your leadership potential and drive to build and lead your own team make you fit right in. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

5+ years of experience in logistics, with a strong understanding of international freight documentation, transport coordination, and inventory management;
Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Dutch, Spanish, or German is a bonus);
Proficiency with Office tools and ideally experience with a WMS/ERP system;
A proactive, adaptable mindset – you’re not afraid of last-minute changes or tight deadlines.

Junior Trader

We import products from countries such as Thailand, China, South Africa, Chile, and America and have them shipped to the Netherlands by container. Once the goods arrive in Europe, we store them in an external storage facility. All the goods we import come in bulk packaging and are sold in the same way. We supply customers throughout Europe, including industries (companies that further process the products, such as muesli), bakeries, and private label packers (for supermarkets).

That is a diverse customer base, indeed. As a young and fast-growing company, we are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Trader to strengthen our team.

Key tasks of a trader include:

Keeping existing customers satisfied.
Finding new customers.
Negotiating prices with suppliers and customers.
Closing contracts and ensuring proper handling.
Representing Maejor Nuts B.V. at international trade fairs (We exhibit at Anuga in Cologne and Sial in Paris ourselves but also visit various trade fairs).
